Former Hamworthy United right back Karl Yelland has opted to make the move to Cuthbury as Wimborne Town get ready for life in the Zamaretto Division One South & West, Yelland has impressed Magpies boss Alex Browne during the Magpies pre-season preparations, and there had been speculation that the defender was keen to play at the higher level. Assitant-boss Darren Powell said: “Karl had a lot of injury problems last season at Hamworthy. But he's impressed both Alex and I during the summer. “He's really up for the challenge and we are delighted he has decided to sign for us.” Click here for full story |

The first team are well into their preparations for the new season and the cut and thrust of a Zamaretto League campaign will be soon upon us. But in the meantime, the esoteric delights of the WTFC Summer 6-a-side tournament continue. Wessex Wanderers continue to head the table with a 7-2 mauling of Bash the Bishop FC, Jonny Chappell bagging four. Muppets moved to second with a 5-0 thrashing of bottom side Kipperminster Harriers, while Wimborne Legends and Dorset Soil & Aggregates drew 2-2. Click here for full story |

The funeral service for Mr Ron Dinmore will take place at Wimborne Minster on Friday 6 August, commencing at 12.30pm. After the service there will be a cremation, which will be attended by family only. Wessex Wanderers top the table following a 6-1 thrashing of Kipperminster Harriers, a result which leaves the Kipps languishing in the wooden spoon spot. Jonny Chappell was the Wanderers hero, netting four. Dorset Soils and Aggregates slipped to second after losing 3-1 to Muppets. That victory, the Muppets first of the competition, saw them lifted off the bottom of the table. And Wimborne Legends and Bash the Bishop battled out a 2-2 draw. Click here for full story |
